Insider Guide by bassist Bogart Giner. Exclusively curated for guests of The London Residents Club
An Bogart frequently returns to his West London roots. From Portobello Road to pubs, the French-Canadian musician shares his favourite spots in Notting Hill.
Market: Portobello Road
Head to Notting Hill and Portobello Road, the world’s largest antiques market. Discover stalls selling everything from food, to antiques, to fashion steals. You will be surprised at what you can find here.
Insider tip: Both Portobello Road and nearby Westbourne Grove offer numerous spots for a quick pit stop or bigger bites if you are feeling thirsty and/or peckish.
Pub: The Churchill Arms
This Notting Hill institution is a must-visit for the beauty of its foliage- and flower-covered facade alone. However, the Thai food at this lush pub is the real draw for locals.
Late: Portobello Star
If you are ready to keep going, head down to Portobello Star, the home of the famous Portobello Road Gin. The cocktail list is long and delicious, and the bar is delightfully busy. A guaranteed good night out.
